Background

The fourth born son was a runt and not expected to live long, which was fine with his mother as she had no want of a small, possibly sickly, child while she had three previous sons who were among the strongest of the tribe's hunters and warriors. She refused to nurse him herself and passed him off to her cousin who had recently lost a child to use her as a wet nurse, who also had little interest in the boy as she was grieving the loss of her own child. Once he was of age to walk he was left on his own to survive by begging from tribe members or wandering off into the woods to gather what he could to eat. As he grew and adapted, he would trap small animals but if he didn't cook and eat them in the woods they would be taken from him leaving him starving yet again. He proved more resilient than predicted, he grew more beautiful year after year yet not a bit stronger or braver. With no skills worthy of honor to give him status and no traits beyond his beauty to pass on he had no place or worth to his tribe. His "family" didn't even notice when he went missing for a few weeks and was taken in by the Sylph.They were growing smaller as people left to find stronger tribes or join the different battles for Eorzea. Hearing whispers of a man who would pay very well for beautiful youths, even more for the pure and untouched, his mother decided it was time to be rid of her runt son. In the night he was easily taken from his bed and suddenly his mother was living far more comfortably as was her tribe. Tasi'sae found himself as the property of a high class brothel in Ul'dah called the Desert Rose, he couldn't complain as it couldn't get much worse than the abuse and neglect of his tribe, had he stayed with them much longer he more than likely would have been cast out anyway. At least he had a purpose here and a life of relative ease.Eventually Tasi’sae saw the truth of his new life and realized that it wasn’t much different than what his tribe had offered. Over time he used his beauty and natural charm to pick up skills that suited his body type and even improve upon his strength and agility. It wasn’t long before he had grown to be a talented dancer both for entertainment and battle.

Special Lore

When Tasi was taken in by the Sylph as a child, he was missing for a couple weeks. They found him near death, starving, freezing and near feral. Having pity on a discarded child they nursed him back best they could but he had no will to survive. As it happened, the sylph had a child whose body was failing but their mind was strong.Not willing to pass up the opportunity they tried a desperate and risky ritual to combine the two. Using a small Levin orb they fused the two into one being. Tasi's physical growth was forever stunted and granted him a perpetual youthful appearance along with dormant abilities including control over electricity and basic sylph magics (thaumaturge skills and a natural affinity for plant life to the point of nurturing and manipulating it). The two souls became one giving the miqo'te a Nymph like charm, seduction, grace and a slight mischievousness where he was docile and overly compliant previously.When calm he is a beacon of soothing energy and loving warmth but when upset he is wild and ferocious, he has to learn to control his gifted abilities or they will harm him and cause him to retreat back to the Slyphlands seeking the place part of his soul once called home. It drains him and leeches at the Levin orb threatening to deplete it and leave him wasting away if not controlled properly.He becomes more stable if wearing items like jewelry made from lightning crystals and they will help the orb recharge and keep Tasi evened out but they do deplete and need replacing.His memory is patchy at best the first few times he uses his abilities to the fullest and he grows vulnerable and weak afterwards until he learns to control it. The minor black magic doesn't do this, just the flora manipulation and electricity.

Abilities

Tasi gets stressed/sad/depressed the plants around him will wither. When happy and calm they flourish and produce high quality blooms, produce, etc. When angry they grow wildly and respond to his aggression like living extensions of his will.Electricity is very basic. When sad or depressed lightning storms are frequent but fairly mild. When angry they are violent and can potentially cause damage to the surrounding area, he takes it into himself and uses it in various ways. Forming it into weapons (must be trained to harness and focus it), can combine it with physical weapons to give an elemental (lightning/levin) enchantment quality to them and it gives a mild "spike" type effect which counters physical blows he takes with burn/shock damage and mild paralysis.Physical side effects: upon first use/outburst, his eyes will scorch at the corners and leave permanent scars which almost look like vines moving out and up towards his ears, these along with his eyes glow a magenta/purple when highly emotional be it good or bad emotions.If he loses control the same type marks are scarred into his body at random with the same effect.If he goes berserk his hair/fur/tail will begin to take on the same color streaks.If left in the shroud too long the sylph soul will become more dominant and petals/leaves will begin to form in place of fur/hair and appear like scales along his body, arms, legs and spine. Similar to the patterns of Au Ra scales.

His voice is airy and boyish, his body is curvy with pronounced hips and a bubble butt, and he tends to wear clothes that flow and move freely giving him freedom of movement as well as simply enjoying the way they look on him. He became used to this style at the brothel and never saw a reason to change. Don't assume this means he is weak or squeamish in the least. He can more than hold his own.He has been through a lot of abuse at the Desert Rose and has both physical and mental/emotional scars to show for it. Tasi needs someone who won't hurt him further, will stand beside him and allow him to grow and be who he is without manipulation. While he doesn't need protecting he loves when someone is protective and even territorial over him as long as it isn't abusive.He isn't attracted to anyone who identifies as female. As long as someone identifies as male or nonbinary, Tasi is open to it. Mostly confident in his abilities the miqo’te took the opportunity to start planning his escape. On one of his slower nights he slipped out of the Desert Rose's gardens to escape back into the wilds. He at least knew how to survive in the wild and coexist while respecting the wildlife and environment that had always taken care of him before.Tasi'sae is a gentle soul, sweet, clever with potential to be intelligent if given the chance to learn. He is constantly starved for touch and craves nothing more in life than to be loved, live free and protect the forest that protected him. He has an exceptional singing voice and elegant graceful movements. After being free from the brothel Tasi’sae had become so ingrained in the existence of the forests of the shroud that rumors spread of a being protecting the woods and all that exists there, deadly and alluring with remarkable grace and stealth. Even the Sylph have grown to care for and respect him as a friend and ally.As long as one means no harm to his home or the wildlife within it he is a welcoming friend and companion, always offering a meal and respite.Pre-Escape-
Tasi never ran away from the Desert Rose and is still a Courtesan. This allows for a heroic rescue or to build a relationship through Courtesan/Client interaction. This is also more acceptable for more ERP centered interactions.Post-Escape Travel-
Tasi has run away from the Desert Rose but hasn't made it to the Shroud yet. Maybe he is stuck in Limsa for a while to make some gil or is on a ship on the way there and he made a mistake and ends up somewhere totally different.Master of the Rose
Tasi has formed a close bond with a client/former client of his (Ban, another of my OCs) and has become an informant for his criminal organization. In exchange for helping to over throw the Madam of the Rose, Tasi will be given her position and be allowed to run the brothel in a far more humane manner. He takes over and continues to provide information to Ban willingly. I will link Ban's carrd below.I am also very open to building other non-FFXIV related AUs once we have built up some writing chemistry and gotten to know the OCs well enough. Removing it is highly unlikely unless the story is exceptional and worth the removal in my opinion. This is part of who he is, please understand.
